Koyasan has many, many temples,
and it was always a delightful walk from Fukuchi-in to
wherever we had decided to go that day. We would visit the temples
and then train on the grounds near them, providing some entertainment
for the Japanese tourists there (we rarely saw a European). The
photos above were taken while we were on our way for some ninjutsu
training near one of the older temples on the mountain. |

near a shrine with a thatched roof. |

We normally walked to an old
wooden temple in the back reaches of Kyoyasan to do some training.
To the left Jean-Pierre, Getan, and Jan stand waiting to start. |
